Please note:
IEC 60079-14 and IEC 60079-17 standard - Knowledge and skills - Responsible Persons specifies the following:

Responsible persons who are responsible for the processes involved in the design, selection, erection, inspection, and maintenance of explosion protected equipment shall possess, at least, the following:

  1. General understanding of relevant electrical engineering
  2. Understanding and ability to read and assess engineering drawings
  3. Practical understanding of explosion protection principles and techniques
  4. Working knowledge and understanding of relevant standards in explosion protection, particularly IEC 60079-10-1, IEC 60079-10-2, IEC 60079-14, IEC 60079-17 and IEC 60079-19
  5. Basic knowledge of quality assurance, including the principles of auditing, documentation, traceability of measurement and instrument calibration

Requirements from 3 to 5 above, can be obtained by attending our CompEx Foundation ExF 2-day course. We highly recommended completing an ExF foundation course in advance of attending this Ex14 course, for successful completion.

All candidates, both new and existing CompEx candidates, are required to register themselves onto the CompEx system prior to confirmation of booking on the course (instructions will be provided by SQT)

Exam Declaration

This is to declare that I confirm I understand that CompEx training exams are intended for my use only to undertake this exam. I confirm I will not copy, share, publish or live stream any of the information I have been provided with for this exam paper and any attempt to copy, share, publish or live stream the exam provided, will be considered malpractice and result in disqualification from this and all future CompEx exams.
