• Exercises will be carried out and sample documentation from different aspects of the standard will be reviewed as the ISO 50001 standard is analysed.

• Preparation for conducting the audit
• Practical exercise involving the audit of a number of energy management procedures and a review of the audit findings
• The ISO 50001 Auditor Checklist
• Use of Energy Management Audit Questionnaires

If you happen to have access to a copy of ISO 50001, please bring a copy of the standard with you. If you don’t have access, a copy will be provided for you and will be collected at the end of the course.

• Company personnel responsible for managing ISO 50001
• Personnel responsible for managing the internal audit function
• Personnel responsible for carrying out internal energy management system audits in accordance with ISO 50001

For applicants whose first language is not English, SQT recommends a minimum English language competency of IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent) for successful completion of this programme. It is important to note that learners are not expected to have an IELTS or equivalent examination complete. Potential delegates are expected to self-assess their English language competency against the IELTS Band scores which can be found in this document.

Learners are assessed throughout the course by continuous assessment. It is essential that learners take an active part in all course activities during the course in order that the tutor can make a full assessment of the student’s performance. Please note that it is essential for learners to be in attendance for the full course.

A certificate of attendance is issued to all learners who attend the full course. A certificate of competence is awarded to participants who satisfactorily complete the course continuous assessment. This will be issued 8 weeks after course completion.
