Two questions you should ask if …

… you are contemplating embarking on a NEBOSH qualification.

There are a number of centres offering NEBOSH qualifications. Here at SQT we offer the:
NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, and
NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.

The two questions we strongly recommend you ask are:
1) What the previous results at the centre have been?
2) What legislation is covered on the course?

We are now taking bookings on the Certificate course starting on 21st March.

Answering both of the above questions for the Certificate course:
1) The exams for the Certificate course consist of two written papers (IG1 and IG2) and one work-place assignment (IG3). The pass rate for our SQT students was 100% for all three exams for the last (Sept 2010) exams, well in excess of NEBOSH averages. The overall NEBOSH pass rate for the three Sept 2010 exams at all NEBOSH centres was 54%, 63% and 100% respectively.
2) The International Certificate course covers International legal frameworks and codes of practice but our SQT course also covers Irish legislation. Other centres run the National Certificate which is based on UK legislation.

I have included a link above for further details on the upcoming March Certificate course. Just as an fyi, a new Diploma course will commence in September 2011.
